Q: Do you use palm oil in the Love Home and Planet Range? Is your palm oil sourced sustainably?

A: Our aim is to source all our agricultural raw materials from sustainable sources, including palm oil. We use palm oil in our products as it is a highly versatile and optimum vegetable oil. Palm oil is the most land-efficient vegetable oil available, producing more oil per area of land than any other oil-producing crop.
Through Unilever’s partnerships, advocacy, and committed work on the ground, we're helping to lead real progress towards our vision of a supply chain in which sustainable palm oil is commonplace and driving industry transformation.

Q: You claim your fragrance extracts are ethically sourced – what do you mean by that?

A: Ethical sourcing, sometimes referred to as “responsible sourcing,” is core to our brand beliefs. Sustainable agriculture is at the heart of our approach to the climate and development challenge: we believe that sustainable agricultural practices are a vital way to help eradicate hunger and poverty, while making our supply of ingredients more resilient. Sustainable farming methods have the potential to mitigate the effects of climate change while providing opportunities to farmers, their families, and their communities. Love Home and Planet uses a key fragrance ingredient in each of our products that comes from the responsible sourcing program established by our fragrance partner Givaudan, which ensures that these ingredients meet high standards in health and safety, social, environmental and business integrity. Their approach aims to secure precious natural ingredients without contributing to the loss of biodiversity and while bolstering the livelihoods of the local partners who produce them. For more information, please visit the responsible sourcing section of Givaudan’s website. https://www.givaudan.com/sustainability/sourcing/our-approach/responsible-sourcing?destination=sustainability

A: We do not intentionally use phthalates in the making of our products. Phthalates are a family of chemicals that increase the flexibility and durability of plastics. They are commonly used in packaging materials, flooring, cables, luggage, sports equipment and medical devices. In line with our own standards of avoiding phthalates, we do not use Diethyl phthalate (DEP), which is a solvent used to mix fragrance ingredients. Instead, we use other approaches to bring together fragrance ingredients. We always ensure that any phthalates we use in packaging are below the levels assessed as safe by regulatory authorities.

We want to move towards a more 'circular economy,' designing products so that more packaging either remains in loops or has the best possible opportunity to be recycled. Circular economy means materials can be regenerated and constantly flow around a ‘closed loop’ system, rather than being used once and then discarded. Q: Do your laundry detergents contain phosphates?

A: No, we do not have phosphates in our laundry detergents as their usage is banned by most states in the U.S. Phosphates are natural minerals that increase effectiveness of detergents by removing hard water minerals. The phosphate minerals prevent dirt from re-depositing on items being washed. Introducing phosphates into lakes, rivers and streams can lead to eutrophication, which causes a dense growth of plant life and death of animal life from lack of oxygen. Instead, Love Home and Planet uses natural substances that serve many of the same functions as phosphates but are better for lakes, streams, and freshwater sources.

Q: Do your laundry detergents contain optical brighteners?

A: No, our laundry detergents do not contain optical brighteners. Optical brighteners are synthetic ingredients often found in conventional laundry detergents. Q: How are these cleansers “smart” in detecting these stains?

A: Enzymes in stain remover formulations can be used to break down specific stains. Proteases will break down proteins by breaking the larger molecules into smaller, soluble chunks that are more easily removed by our detergents. Human sweat stains can also be removed by proteases. Other molecules that can be broken down by enzymes include fats, broken down by lipases, and starch, broken down by amylases. Each enzyme type works on a different stain and once they find them they will act upon them.

Q: What does Concentrated Laundry Detergent mean?

A: Concentrated laundry detergent means it can deliver cleaning in a lower dose than dilute detergent since it has less water in the formulation.

Q: How do I use the Concentrated Laundry Detergent?

Q: What’s the purpose of the Dry Wash Spray?

A: Here's a remedy for your "chair-drobe": that place where previously worn clothes end up when you don't think they need a wash yet but also don't feel confident about wearing them again. This product is designed to revive your worn clothes to looking, feeling and smelling refreshed, so you can protect them from the wear and tear of overwashing. Re-Wear Dry Wash Spray is an air-o-sol (powered by air) which means it sprays a light, continuous mist onto your clothes. It has anti-odor technology with a light fragrance, which lifts odors and keeps you fresh for the whole day. It also has stiffening molecules, which help keep clothes looking freshly-pressed, and fiber softeners which forms a soft, lubricating layer across the surface, giving that just-washed feeling.

Q: How do I use the Re-Wear Dry Wash Spray?

A: Lay your garment down flat on a soft surface, such as bedding. Spray a light, even coverage across the surface of the garment. We recommend you treat the whole garment from about 12 inches away, and avoiding spot treatment. Smooth out the creases and re-shape, repeating the spray process on the back if needed. Leave to hang, and watch the magic happen. After 15 minutes it should be fully dry, crease free, soft, and smelling fresh.

Q: What variants are available in the Re-Wear Dry Wash Spray?

A: Lounging Blooms: Blended with luxurious hand-crushed Moroccan Argan oil, known for its smoothing properties, and infused with the scent of calming heirloom French Lavender, this spray removes creases from your clothes and leaves them with a delicate kiss of nature.
Rose & Repeat: Blended with sumptuous Amazonian Murumuru, known for its smoothing properties, and infused with the scent of handpicked Bulgarian Rose, this spray removes creases from your clothes and leaves them with a delicate kiss of nature.
Radically Refreshed: Blended with Australian Tea Tree oil, known for its purifying properties, and infused with notes of sultry and sophisticated Vetiver, this spray removes creases from your clothes and leaves them with a delicate kiss of nature.

Q: What kind of fabrics can it be used on?

A: The Re-Wear Dry Wash Spray is formulated for the majority of fabric types, such as polyesters, cottons, and some delicates. However, this product is not recommended for use on leather, suede, silk or vinyl.

Q: On what surface should I put my clothes when spraying Re-Wear Dry Wash Spray?

A: We recommend laying garments flat over bedding when spraying. Always direct the spray away from the face and at a distance of approximately 12-inches from the garment surface. Avoid contact with painted wood, painted metal, linoleum and marble. If Re-Wear Dry Wash Spray is spilt onto these surfaces rinse thoroughly with water and dry. Hard surfaces will become damp/slippery after spraying, so you can avoid slips and falls by wiping Re-Wear Dry Wash Spray away before it dries onto the surface.

Q: Can I spray Re-Wear Dry Wash Spray on my clothes when I’m wearing them?

A: Always remove garments before treating them with Re-Wear Dry Wash Spray. Do not spray directly onto skin.

Q: How much should I spray per garment?

A: A light, even coverage over the whole garment, following the directions on the pack, should be enough. Six to seven seconds spraying should do the trick!

Q: Will Re-Wear Dry Wash Spray affect the color of my clothes or leave stains?

A: No. Actually, if you wash your clothes less, it will help your clothes look newer for longer. But we always recommend testing a hidden part of the garment first to be 100% sure. Re-Wear Dry Wash Spray has been trialed and tested to ensure it doesn’t stain or damage your clothes. However, in the unlikely event that it does, please contact our customer service team at 1-800-418-3137.

Q: Do I need to test Re-Wear Dry Wash Spray before using it?

A: We recommend using Re-Wear Dry Wash Spray once before washing the garment in a washing machine, but if you feel it can last another wear then we’re all for it.

Q: Will it remove stains?
